The development that had the PokerNews family (as well as many in the poker community) glued to their computers on Sunday night was Kristy "guess16" Arnett's run in Full Tilt Poker's MiniFTOPS Event #12, the $50 Heads-Up Shootout. She navigated through a field of nearly 4,100 people to earn more than $31,000, a MiniFTOPS jersey, and the title of champion.

In the final four, she found herself facing Evan "NEONPILS99" Parkes. The blinds were 10/20 and Arnett had the button. She min-raised to 40 and Parkes popped it to 120. Arnett called and the flop came down K?10?8?. Parkes bet 140 and Arnett popped it to 400, only to see Parkes three-bet to 820. After a few moments Arnett called and when the 3? hit the turn, Parkes Shoved. Arnett called all in for 2,020 with 10?8?, but Parkes tabled K?8?. Needing to spike a ten, Arnett did just that as the 10? popped off on the river to give Arnett a boat. She finished Parkes off two hands later and it was on to the finals against "rh300487".

With the blinds at 30/60, Arnett sealed the deal on a limped hand. The flop fell 7?6?4? and Arnett put out a min bet of 60. Her opponent called and the Q? hit the turn. Arnett checked and rh300487 fired 200. However, Arnett put in a raise to 650 and her opponent called, leading to the 4? river card. Arnett delibeated for a few moments before jamming her entire stack. Her opponent called all in for 1,560, but mucked when Arnett tabled 8?5? for the flopped straight.

Congratulations to PokerNews' Kristy Arnett, winner of MiniFTOPS Event #12 and $31,334.40!
