The WSOP-Circuit: Who is Qualified at the Halfway Mark
The World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Harrah��s Tunica this month marks the halfway point of the 2010/2011 schedule. Seven events are in the books with the same number remaining. Given that Tunica��s Main Event is set to kickoff this Sunday, we thought we��d recap the WSOP-C thus far including those who have qualified for the National Championship as well as the current standings on the National Leaderboard.
The Top 100 qualifiers from the WSOP Circuit this season will be awarded seats in the WSOP-C National Championship, a $1 million freeroll paying the top ten players. That event will take place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from May 27 to 29, 2011, and will be televised nationally on the Versus network. Thus far, 33 spots have been locked up for the National Championship. Here is a look at those who��ve already qualified and how they got there:

Given that only 100 seats are allotted for the National Championship and 32 have been reserved, only 68 spots remain to be had. If no more stops are added to the WSOP-C schedule, two seats will be awarded at Harrah��s Tunica this weekend to the Main Event Champion and the Casino Champion, while 36 will be determined in the latter half of the schedule. That means only 30 spots will be awarded to the corresponding point earners on the National Leaderboard. If things were to end today, 80 points would be enough to get in; however, with seven events to go that number is sure to rise. Currently, Brett Schwertley (175 points) tops the charts followed closely by Kevin Calenzo (167.5) and Jeremy Schwartz.
