Global Poker Index: Raskin Joins Top 10, Friends Benger and Anderson Ascend the Ranks

Each week, the Global Poker Index releases a list of the top 300 tournament poker players in the world using a formula that takes a player's results over six half-year periods. For a look at the entire list of 300, visit the official GPI website.

Top 10 as of May 2, 2013

Micah Raskin joined the top 10 this week after winning the �3,000 Berlin Cup High Roller. The American earned $138,119 for the victory and now has 12 scores of five figures or more since the start of 2012 and has now earned over $800,000.

Michael ��The Grinder�� Mizrachi fell from the top 10, and is now ranked at 11. Mizrachi has not recorded a single cash since February.

New Additions

Twenty players entered the GPI top 300 this week--some old, others new. Khiem Nguyen is one of the returning players, thanks to a deep run in the EPT Berlin Main Event.

The 20 players who fell from the GPI this week were Mukul Pahuja, Mikhail Petrov, Jonathan Little, Nicolas Chouity, Jose ��Nacho�� Barbero, Steve Brecher, Nicolas Levi, Andrew Chen, Franck Kalfon, Ludovic Lacay, Gilbert Diaz, Leo Fernandez, Barry Hutter, Salman Behbehani, Kyle Frey, Jake Cody, Jake Bazeley, Brandon Cantu, McLean Karr, and 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Joe Hachem.

Biggest Gains

Good friends Griffin Benger and Calvin Anderson both jumped 107 spots this week. On their respective birthdays, Anderson finished 10th in the EPT Berlin Main Event, and Benger won the EPT Berlin High Roller.

Biggest Drops

Andrew Badecker took the biggest hit this week, falling 141 spots. He has only cashed four times since the 2012 WSOP ended.
