Just in time for the holidays, the official dates have been announced for the 2015 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. The 46th Annual WSOP will run from May 27 through July 14 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, culminating with the $10,000 Main Event.

While the complete 2015 schedule won't be announced until January, the WSOP did reveal the dates of several of the flagship tournaments on Tuesday. The Main Event will begin on Sunday, July 5 with the first of three starting days and is slated to run 10 consecutive days until the November Nine is determined on July 14. The event will once again feature a $10 million top prize to the eventual winner; the eight-figure guarantee was introduced in 2014 with Sweden's Martin Jacobson walking away with the second-biggest haul in Main Event history (Jamie Gold pocketed $12 million in 2006).

Also returning to the schedule in 2015 will be the popular Millionaire Maker and Monster Stack events, both of which attracted massive fields in 2014. Mixed games will also be well represented again in 2015, says WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart.

"We believe the WSOP is uniquely able to deliver the big event with life-changing money for some and a life-experience for all," said Stewart. "We are going to proudly stage the kinds of events which draw players from all around the world while also staying true to our heritage of contesting all variants of poker.

Here's a look at some of the confirmed starting dates for the 2015 festival:

Millionaire MakerJune 5/6$1,500 ($1 million guaranteed to winner)
Monster StackJune 12/13$1,500
Seniors ChampionshipJune 19$1,000

The 2015 WSOP will kick off with an exciting new event called The Colossus, a $565 buy-in tournament with a $5 million guaranteed prize pool. The Colossus is a re-entry event that will feature two starting days with two separate starting flights on each day. Players will start with 5,000 in chips with the tournament beginning without an ante and blinds at 25/50.

This tournament is sure to bring out the poker masses in the opening week of the series. The $565 price tag is the lowest for any WSOP open event in 35 years.

"Load up the entire gang - the home game, the spouse, whomever you know that enjoys the game," said Stewart. "The Colossus is going to feature a historic prize pool at this buy-in level and it can only happen at the World Series of Poker."

As always, the summer festival will include games running around the clock, from cash games to sit-and-go satellites to the wildly popular deep stack tournaments. For more information on the 2015 World Series of Poker, visit WSOP.com
