Yesterday, Phil Galfond announced his intentions to start a new online poker site based off of the Run It Once brand he's created for his poker training site. Today, TonyBet Poker has decided to not only to run it once, but they want to run it twice with a slate of brand new Run It Twice tournaments.

According to a press release, TonyBet Poker will continue to place their focus on the recreational poker players stating that the "platform is run by people who believe that amateurs must not be fed to the sharks and this is where the idea for the unique Run it Twice tournaments came from."

Run it Twice tournaments will be introduced to the platform in the middle of September. It will be released during a Run it Twice freeroll festival, which will have a guaranteed 15 000 prize pool. The run it twice feature will allow players to run certain all-in situations twice, thereby reducing the variance and extending the tournament life for players who may have busted out using traditional, no-limit hold'em rules.

A lot of our players love live poker, which is why we are excited to head in this direction," said TonyBet Representative Warren Lush. "We always think about how fun the game will be when we start to develop a new product because we dont want online poker to become a game of click-a-button. The introduction of the safe and convenient OFC poker experience online was a huge success and we feel ready to advance with the unique Run it Twice tournaments.
