Stevan Chew Ships Aussie Millions Event #10 to Surpass $1M in Cashes

Australia's Stevan Chew outlasted a field of 354 entrants to win the 2018 Aussie Millions Event #10: A$1,650 No Limit Holdem Bounty Event for A$117,975.

The victory represents Chew's 12th Aussie Millions cash and also catapulted him above $1 million in lifetime live tournament cashes.

A total of 32 players were guaranteed a payout of at least A$3,010. Among the players to cash but fall short of the final table included 2017 partypoker Nordic Poker Championships winner Jon Kyte (15th - A$6,025) and 2012 World Series of Poker bracelet winner Craig McCorkell (ninth - A$9,790).

A pair of players from China were the first two eliminated at the seven-max final table with Xixiang Luo banking A$19,830 for seventh place and Chao Duan collecting $25,100 for sixth place.

Luo now has more than $1.2 million in live tournament earnings including four cashes in Aussie Millions events, while Duan secured his first Aussie Millions cash and is approaching $100,000 in live tournament cashes.

Australia's Antonis Kambouroglou, who has almost $900,000 in career cashes, took fifth place for A$30,120 for his second final table this festival after also taking fourth place in Event #4: A$1,150 Pot Limit Omaha for A$22,560.

Fellow Aussie Anthony Hope recorded his second Aussie Millions cash to bring his career total up to almost $100,000 after hitting the showers in fourth place for A$40,160.

Last year, Germany's Felix Daniel Schulze took 45th place in the 2017 Aussie Millions Main Event for A$25,000. He more than doubled this cash with a third place performance in this tournament for A$50,200 and now has almost $500,000 in career cashes.

This left Australia's Michael Seymour and Chew facing off heads up for the title. Chew prevailed to snag his first Aussie Millions title while Seymour added to his over $100,000 in lifetime cashes after banking a healthy runner-up prize of A$80,325 for his valiant effort.
