For more than the next month, the action couldn't be any hotter than at King's Casino, located on the border of German-Czech border in Rozvadov.

Poker players from around the globe are gathering first for the WSOP Circuit from Sept. 20 to Oct. 8 followed by the WSOP Europe from Oct. 9 to Nov. 2.

Tons of press and buzz are surrounding the WSOP Europe. After all, it's the first time in its history that it will be running in back-to-back years, with players battling it out for some bling in the form of 10 WSOP gold bracelets and a whopping 13 million guaranteed.

Circuit to Feature 14 Rings, 2 Million Guaranteed

With that going on, it is easy to see how the WSOP Circuit might be overlooked but it is very impressive in its own right. A total of 14 WSOP gold rings will be handed out to winners of the biggest events. Let's not forget about the money, as there will be an impressive 2 million in guaranteed prize pools on tap.

Of course, there are plenty of other events where gold rings will not be awarded including satellites to many of the bigger events. In addition, the notorious non-stop cash games at King's Casino will be running around the clock throughout the festival at stakes big and small.

Martin Kabrhel Wins Opening Event

The first event is in the books and it was none other than local Czech poker pro Martin Kabrhel shipping the first WSOP gold ring after winning the WSOPC 299 Opening Event Ring #1 for 53,938 ($62,993). The event featured a huge 300,000 guaranteed prize pool and provided tons of value for everyone who cashed thanks to the field of 846 entrants coming up short of the guarantee.

After the event, Kabrhel, who last year shipped a WSOP gold bracelet at the WSOP Europe, has almost broken the $4 million mark in cashes and is only behind the more than $6.3 million earned by Martin Staszko for the most cashes in the Czech Republic according to The Hendon Mob.

The biggest event of the first part of the festival is, of course, the WSOP Circuit 1,650 Main Event featuring a massive 1 million guarantee. Players will have plenty of chances to build a monster stack thanks to a deep structure featuring 30,000 in opening chips and unlimited reentries allowed throughout the two opening flights on Oct. 5-6.

Surviving players or those who decide to buy in before the start of Day 2 will compete for two more days on Oct. 7-8 until a winner is crowned.
