Adon Ursu won the second-ever The Big Wrap, a 2,350 PLO tournament at King's Resort, for 200,000 ($220,643). The tournament was part of a bigger Omaha festival featuring five different PLO tournaments.

The Big Wrap's Huge Success

The Big Wrap was launched this year at King's Resort, the largest poker room in Europe, as the biggest PLO tournament outside of Vegas and has lived up to its billing.

The first festival back in April featured two PLO tournaments including a 1 million guaranteed Main Event and a 200,000 guaranteed Warmup. Lautaro Cabrerizo outlasted a field of 412 entrants to win the inaugural The Big Wrap for 209,221 ($234,837), while Alessio Pillon hoisted the trophy, while banking 43,495 ($48,823) in The Big Wrap Warmup.

The Big Wrap 2019 added three new tournaments for its second festival while still featuring a 1 million guaranteed Main Event and a 200,000 guaranteed Warmup. The Main Event won by Ursu drew 61 more entrants than the first version for a total of 473, proving this concept has legs.

Richard Toth, who chopped the Warmup with Pillon the first time around, walked away with the trophy and a prize of 33,395 ($36,841) last week in the second version of this event.

Other winners in last week's The Big Wrap included Didier Rabl winning the 25,000 guaranteed 550 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo for 8,236 ($9,086), Mark Berente shipping the 100,000 guaranteed 1,100 5 Card Pot-Limit Omaha for 24,583 ($27,236), and Daniel Haywood winning the 8,000 guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em / Pot-Limit Omaha Mix for 1,253 ($1,383).
