Mario "livinmydream1" Mosboeck Wins SCOOP-M-92: $1,050 NLHE Main Event ($838,909)

Austria's Mario "livinmydream1" Mosboeck has entered his name into the poker history books with an epic win in the SCOOP-M-92: $1,050 NLHE Main Event at PokerStars for $838,909.

Mosboeck earned his first SCOOP title and made it count by shipping the second biggest event of the 2021 Spring Championship of Online Poker thanks to the Medium Main Event attracting 5,903 entries for a $5,903,000 prize pool to smash the $5 million guarantee.

The Austrian is a representative of poker trainingsite Pokercode, founded by Fedor Holz and Matthias Eibinger, and was featured as one of the up-and-coming players in last year's YouTube-series Grindhouse. Mosboeck has instantly put himself on the poker map with the big win, following up on fellow Grindhouse-player Roland Rokita's deep run in the WPT Venetian in March.

It was very unique as the Day 1 chip leader "Morrison830", Day 2 chip leader Mosboeck, and Day 3 chip leader "alimounda" all navigated their way to the podium in the event.

In the end, it was an epic come-from-behind battle for Mosboeck. Greece's "alimounda" had the lead a good portion of the final table but wasn't able to close it out with Mosboeck tasting his first final table chip lead during heads-up play to come from behind to win the title.

"kZhh" Wins SCOOP-92-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] ($878,781)

After a tumultuous evening, the three players who came into the final table as the top three also finished as the top three at the end of it all after agreeing to a three-way deal in the SCOOP-92-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event].

"kZhh" held the chip lead at the start of the day and finished at the top when the dust had settled. They walked away $878,781 richer as they claimed the $50,000 that was set aside for the winner. While it's the first SCOOP title for "kZhh", he's no stranger to success at PokerStars with TCOOP and Sunday Million wins under their belt.

Day 2 chip leader and eventual runner-up Dan "Dannyz0r" Borlan ended up with the biggest cash after the deal and walked away with the lion's share of $894,551. The third beneficiary was Kayhan "KayhanMok" Roshanfekr who logged off with $791,074 added to his bankroll.

Other players on the final table included "Beowulf3182", David "MissOracle" Yan, Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph, Ka Kwan "kaju85" Lau, Jareth "jareth3542" East, and "23tudy23". Incredulously, Lau won the $10K PLO Main Event the day before but saw his dream at winning both Main Events end in 7th place.

"Cantaloupe91" Wins SCOOP-92-L: $109 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] ($376,087)

It was a quick final table, but a long heads up as "Cantaloupe91" from Greece parlayed their second-place stack from the start of the day into a SCOOP title and $376,087 a few hours later. Over the course of the four-day SCOOP-92-L: $109 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event], they outlasted 38,913 total entries, ending Day 3 second in chips out of the final nine. The massive field blew past the guarantee, putting $3,891,300 into the middle for prizes.

This score appears to be huge for them. PokerNews shows about $6,000 in previous wins for "Cantaloupe91" from SCOOP this year and last, and PocketFives shows a $3,776 win in a recent Bounty Builder $215. All those wins are dwarfed by the six-figure cash in this event.

"Virgilik" Wins SCOOP 01-H: $215 NLHE Phase 2, $2M GTD ($161,650)

Three days is all it took for the 10,813 player field in SCOOP 01-H: $215 NLHE Phase 2, $2M GTD to reach the final four, who struck a deal which left $20,000 to play for. The final day began with just 26 runners and when the last chance saloon had closed for business it was "VirgiliK" sitting in the winner's circle after beating Brazil's Vincius "vinimiranda7" Miranda in heads-up to secure the title as champion, along with the extra $20,000, bringing their total prize to $161,650 for their victory.

Jake Schindler Wins SCOOP-100-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, Final Freeze] ($181,517)

Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

The most expensive event that kicked off on the final day of SCOOP drew a field of 183 entries and created a prize pool of $915,000. Once the final hand was completed, Jake Schindler emerged as the champion after denying Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel another title.

Schindler's victory came with a payday of $181,517 and he earned the biggest slice of the prize pool in emphatic fashion. The American poker pro knocked out seven of the eight finalists and Carrel was the only one to also get involved in the proceedings. However, from the second hand on the final table, Schindler seemed destined to emerge as the champion and needed fewer than one hour to get the job done in steamrolling fashion.
