888poker Tournament Spotlight

The ChampionChip Games on 888poker has been a great online poker series for players who mainly play lower stakes tournament. The Games got underway on the online platform last week and runs until September 7 and while the series is fast approaching its conclusion, there's still plenty of reason to get involved.

This week, 888poker began preparations for its $200,000 guaranteed Main Event, with the first of several starting flights kicking off yesterday.

The Main Event is a three-day tournament, with starting flights running until September 5. Then at 7pm BST, on that date, Day 2 proceedings begin. Play will come to a close when the final table is determined. The Main Event final table then takes place at the same time the following day and poker fans can see it play out on 888poker's Twitch Channel.

How to Enter the ChampionChip Games Main Event

The easiest way to secure your seat to the Championchip Games Main Event is to head to the 888poker client and pay the $60 buy-in. Once you've done that, you've booked your spot at the table.

However, should not wish to part with $60, there's good news as there are a plethora of chances for you to qualify into the tournament for free. The best route to finding these freerolls is to type 'ChampionChip Games' in the client's search bar and click the freerolls tab. Alternatively, click on any of the Day 1's and then look at the satellite page that appears in the tournament lobby.

Entrants begin with 10,000 starting stack, which is good for 167 big blind. While there is no unlimited entries for the event, players can re-enter up to a maximum of ten times per flight.

To make it through to Day 2, players need to finish in the top 14% of the field or make it to the end of Level 18. Starting flights will close when whichever comes first.
