After four starting days and ten levels of 60 minutes each on Day 2 of the 2022 888poker LIVE Barcelona 1,100 Main Event, the conclusion of the marquee tournament at Casino Barcelona awaits as of 3pm local time. Only 13 players out of 334 entries remain in contention for the biggest slice of the 320,640 prize pool and they have their eyes set on a top prize of 68.000.

It will be the fourth time an 888poker LIVE Main Event champion is crowned in the Catalan metropole and there will be a first-time winner for the popular mid-stakes tour after two former winners cashed but failed to advance to the final day.

Eight of the last 13 contenders hail from the host country of Spain but it is the UK's Ashley Timms who leads the way with a stack of 1,300,000 followed by Frenchman Ewen Trevidy (1,240,000). Alexandre Ventura Bolet is the top placed local player with 1,220,000 in chips and Italy's Sandro Hauser rounds up the quartet of chip millionaires with 1,125,000.

Several notables are vying for the trophy as well including Spanish online poker streamer Gerard "Gforcall" Carbo (915,000), recent EPT Prague 2,200 Eureka High Roller winner Jose Manuel Gonzalez (900,000), 2017 WSOP Europe Main Event champion Marti Roca de Torres (740,000) and 2013 EPT Barcelona Main Event runner-up Kimmo Kurko (550,000).

With several short stacks in the mix and returning blinds of 15,000-30,000 and a big blind ante of 30,000 in level 21, the early stages certainly promise plenty of action en route to reaching the nine-handed final table. From thereon, each pay jump will become more significant in the 1,100 Main Event.

All levels on the final day will last 60 minutes each and the duration will be cut in half for the heads-up stage.

While the restart is set for 3pm local time, the PokerNews live updates for the feature and outer table will be published on a delay of 15 minutes according to the live stream setup. Cards-up coverage and English commentary from start to finish will be available on the 888poker TV Twitch channel while Spanish outlet Poker Red also streams all the way until the end in Spanish as well.
