Fletcher Takes a Hit

Patrick Fletcher has just taken a sizable hit after his opponent made his hand at the river. Fletcher fired at all the way down, betting 850 preflop with two callers. Leading a further 2,000 at the {4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop which his opponent once again flat-called.

Fletcher fired 5,300 at the turn {9-Hearts}, which still wasn't enough to convince his opponent to lay his hand down, once again calling. Finally Fletcher bet 15,000 at the river {7-Spades} and his opponent check-called again.

Much to Fletcher's disgust his opponent proceeded to table {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, for a rivered straight after calling the flop and turn with air.

Fletcher is down to 11,000 and in need of a double-up soon.
