Local Melbournian and Crown's 2009 Poker Player of the Year Andrew Demetriou has just been eliminated from the main event by Carl Booth.

Demetriou limped into the pot before Booth kicked it up to 4,500; Demetriou called.

The flop came {2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Demetriou fired a 7,000 bet. Booth then raised, putting him all in and Demetriou called:

Booth: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Demetriou: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The turn and river then filled out {3-Diamonds}, {4-Clubs} and Booth's queens held up to send Demetriou home early.

After the hand, Booth stacked up just over 100,000 in chips.
