Kevin MacPhee Eliminated in 10th Place (51,330)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Kevin MacPhee
Kevin MacPhee

Kevin MacPhee was the chip leader going into Day 3, but has now bubbled a final table appearance.

MacPhee opened to 60,000 and was three-bet to 215,000 by Kenneth Smaron. MacPhee responded with a four-bet all-in for around 900,000 and Smaron instantly called.

Smaron: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
MacPhee: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

MacPhee looked to have earned a reprieve when the {J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop came into view, then fell behind on the {Q-Hearts} turn. All MacPhee could do now was lose or chop and did the former with the arrival of the {3-Spades} river. An expletive later and MacPhee headed to the cashier's cage to collect 51,330.

Palumbo Shoves

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Iliodoros Kamatakis opened for 90,000 under the gun and Rocco Palumbo called from the cutoff to see a {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. Kamatakis checked, Palumbo bet 140,000, and Kamatakis check-raised to 305,000. Palumbo thought for a bit before calling, the {9-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, and Kamatakis checked.

Palumbo then shoved all in for roughly 900,000, and Kamatakis thought long and hard before releasing his hand.

Soika Rebuilding as Play Slows

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

It was inevitable that play would slow down after such a blistering start and that is exactly what has happened during the past couple of orbits. Ihar Soika has managed to rebuild to 700,000 after shoving all-in a couple of times without being called, surely he can't keep moving all-in without no callers for long.

Smaron Doubles Through Soika

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Kenneth Smaron is back past the one million chip mark after doubling though Ihar Soika.

Smaron opened from the button and then called when Soika moved all-in from the big blind for 645,000 effective. Soika showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and needed to catch some of the board to come from behind and beat the {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} of Smaron. However, it was Smaron who improved to two pair on the {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. The {K-Diamonds} turn gave Soika some hope, which was taken away on the {8-Spades} river.

Aleksandr Denisov Eliminated in 11th Place (51,330)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Aleksandr Denisov - 11th Place
Aleksandr Denisov - 11th Place

Action folded to the extremely short-stacked Aleksandr Denisov in the small blind and he raised to 100,000, leaving himself less than that back. Iliodoros Kamatakis then raised from the big blind and Denisov called off for what looked to be 170,000 total.

Denisov: {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Kamatakis: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Denisov got up out of his seat upon seeing Kamatakis' hand, and his fate was all but sealed on the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. The {8-Diamonds} turn left him drawing dead, and he took his leave in 11th place after the {5-Hearts} was run out on the river.

Mihails Morozovs Eliminated in 12th Place (45,220)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Mihails Morozovs - 12th Place
Mihails Morozovs - 12th Place

Mihails Morozovs shoved his last 347,000 all in from the hijack and received a call from Jaroslaw Sikora in the cutoff.

Morozovs: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Sikora: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

It was a flip, but not after the flop came down {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop improved Sikora to a set. The {J-Spades} turn was great for Morozovs, who picked up a double gutshot straight draw, though it didn't come in as the useless {a-Spades} peeled off on the river.

Luc Greenwood Eliminated in 13th Place (45,220)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Luc Greenwood
Luc Greenwood

Luc Greenwood is the latest player to be eliminated from the 10,300 High Roller here at EPT12 Prague, crashing out at the hands of the seemingly unstoppable Iliodoros Kamatakis.

Kamatakis raised to 67,000 and instantly called when Greenwood three-bet all-in for around 600,000 from the small blind.

Greenwood: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Kamatakis: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

"Put a king out right away," said Kamatakis to the deal, and although he didn't put a king on the board, the five community cards ran a king-friendly {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} to bust Greenwood and push Kamatakis to 3,700,000 chips.

"Come on!" ssaid Kamatakis as he got busy stacking his mountain of chips.
