Alexandru Papazian Eliminated in 16th Place (13,600)

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Alexandru Papazian
Alexandru Papazian

Antony Marchetti raised to 160,000 from under the gun to claim the blinds and big blind ante.

One hand later with the big blind ante approaching in the next hand, table short stack Alexandru Papazian raised to 160,000. Wagner Ripper on the button three-bet to 320,000 and also left a small portion of his stack behind as Papazian had done.

It folded back to Papazian, who vaulted out of his chair to see the action on the other table. Two seconds later, he called all in and the cards were on their backs.

Alexandru Papazian: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Wagner Ripper: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

"I like it," the WSOP bracelet winner said with a grin on his face. He picked up a lot of equity on the {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and asked for the eight of spades. An eight was what he needed, but when the {10-Hearts} followed on the turn, the {9-Clubs} river was too little too late, denying Papazian the pay jump and he had to settle for 13,600.

Ferrer Doubles; Zouari Gets Short

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The second hand to result in an all-in but no call took place over on table one. Arnaud Mattern had raised and Jeremie Zouari called to then check the {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop. Mattern bet 600,000 and Zouari sigh-folded.

Last but not least, Jon Kyte opened to 125,000 and earned a call from Hugo Bohn. Michael Ferrer pushed for 1,320,000 in the big blind and Kyte folded. Bohn asked for a count and called to continue the private duel with the Canadian.

Michael Ferrer: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Hugo Bohn: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The suited ace came up short on the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} board and Ferrer doubled right back.

Manuel Labous Eliminated in 18th Place (11,800)

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Manuel Labous
Manuel Labous

There were three all-in situations on three separate tables of which two went all the way but only one resulted in a seat open. Floor staff instructed the dealers to wait until all action was completed before they ran them one after the other as a potential pay jump would be split if there was more than one elimination.

Luc Bindel raised to 210,000 in the small blind for fellow Frenchman Manuel Labous to three-bet to 760,000 in the big blind with some 70,000 behind. Bindel reluctantly called and then check-called the all-in after the {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop.

Manuel Labous: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Luc Bindel: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The Day 1 chip leader was in need of help and had two overcards as well as a gutshot at his disposal. Nothing changed with the {3-Diamonds} turn and {4-Clubs} river as he departed in 18th place for 11,800.
