Haraldstad Binks a Pair on the River to Grab More Chips

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Joachim Haraldstad raised to 160,000 on the button and Humberto Lopes Galindo defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Galindo check-called a bet of 100,000 from Haraldstad.

The {q-Diamonds} landed on the turn and both players checked to the {k-Clubs} on the river. Galindo checked again and Haraldstad splashed in a bet of 275,000. Galindo mulled it over and eventually called. Haraldstad showed {k-Spades}{7-Clubs} for top pair and Galindo was unable to beat it.

Baali Gets Aces

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Humberto Lopes Galindo opened from the cutoff and called when Fouad Baali jammed for 820,000 from the big blind.

Fouad Baali: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Humberto Lopes Galindo: {a-}{q-}

Baali remained ahead on the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop but was not in the clear as the {j-Clubs} turn gave Galindo a gutshot to Broadway. The {3-Hearts} kept the shorter stack alive and Baali doubled.

Philip Shing

Gerard Cortes jammed as the big stack from the small blind, and Philip Shing called off his 1,150,000 stack from the big blind.

Philip Shing: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Gerard Cortes: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Cortes took the lead on the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop as he paired his nine. Shing then made a pair on the {8-Clubs} turn but remained behind. The {3-Clubs} river completed the board and confirmed Shing's elimination.

Jack Maskill Eliminated in 13th Place (15,050)

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jack Maskill
Jack Maskill

Jack Maskill opened to 160,000 in the cutoff and Humberto Lopes Galindo three-bet shoved all in from the big blind. Maskill dropped in some chips to call and the cards were tabled.

Jack Maskill: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Humberto Lopes Galindo: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip but Galindo took a huge lead on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop with a set of nines. The {2-Spades} on the turn locked up the pot for Galindo but the {9-Clubs} on the river gave him quads for good measure. The stacks were counted and it was Maskill who was at risk for just over 1,700,000 and Galindo had him slightly covered.

Shing Doubles Through Cortes

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action folded to Gerard Cortes on the button who shipped all in with two shorter stacks in the blinds. Philip Shing quickly called off his stack of 560,000 in the small blind and they revealed their cards.

Philip Shing: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Gerard Cortes: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Shing took a big lead with a pair of aces. The {5-Spades} on the turn left Cortes drawing dead to the {k-Spades} on the river as he passed over a double up.

Miracle Flop Keeps Chauskin Alive

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jan Bednar raised to 150,000 on the button and Natan Chauskin ripped all in for 720,000 from the big blind. Bednar wasted no time before calling and the cards were on their backs.

Natan Chauskin: {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Jan Bednar: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Despite being dominated, Chauskin found a miracle flop when the {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} hit the felt. The {k-Spades} turn and {8-Clubs} river ensured Chauskin of a double up in order to stay alive.

Luis Celso
Luis Celso

Luis Celso jammed for 195,000 from the cutoff and was called by Jan Bednar and Christopher Dowling from the blinds.

The {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop checked through to the {4-Spades} turn. Bednar check-called for 225,000, which brought in the {3-Clubs} river. Bednar then check-folded when Dowling sized up to 400,000.

Dowling had the {4-Clubs}{2-Spades} for trips and bested Celso's {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Two More Doubles

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Joachim Haraldstad opened to 125,000 in the cutoff and Fabian Niederreiter called on the button. Or Suliman shipped all in for 550,000 in the big blind which got Haraldstad to fold but Niederreiter called.

Or Suliman: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Fabian Niederreiter: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Suliman picked up a pair of kings to take the lead. The {3-Hearts} and {j-Clubs} runout bricked out and Suliman doubled up.

At the other table, Natan Chauskin got the last of his 315,000 in the middle with pocket fives and was called by the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} of Christpher Dowling. The board ran out clean for Chauskin who also earned a small double.
