From a field of 468 just eight players remain here at the Hippodrome Casino at Le Meridien, Piccadilly and it is Andrew Barham who bags the chip lead.

Barham acquired the majority of his chips in a stunning one-two combo of back to hands, cracking queens with ace-queen thanks to a rivered ace and then having aces hold against the queens of long-time chip leader Stephen Baker to move into the lead.

All eight players have locked up 1,204 and first prize will be 10,454. However, they will all be looking at the ultimate prize that the winner will take away - a Platinum Pass worth more than 26,000.

Day 2 Recap

After topping the last flight in Moneymaker's Road to PSPC 2020, it was Chris Moneymaker himself who held the overall chip lead coming into Day 2 with just 71 players in the money.

However, Day 1c chip leader Stephen Baker put his foot on the gas as soon as play began, and quickly lept into the lead. He was sitting pretty on close to a million in chips, but it was Barry Sweeney who was the first over a million after a big double through Moneymaker.

PokerStars LIVE at the Hippodrome Ambassador Kelly Saxby was eliminated in 20th place for 468 after losing out with ace-jack to queens.

Baker moved back into the lead eliminating Peter Sweeney, and was in the lead with play down to two tables. It was then that Barham made his move, scooping two massive pots back-to-back to move into a chip lead he never relinquished.

Moneymaker departed shortly thereafter, losing out with aces after Zayn Mushtaq rivered a flush, taking home 588 for his 14th place finish.

With the blinds continuing to climb, Arie Juliusburger bubbled the final table in tenth for 790 before Marian Calota falling in ninth one short of making Day 3.

The final eight players will return to play down to a winner to discover the latest Platinum Pass winner at 12 p.m. on Sunday. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the information and live updates.
