Emelyanov Gets Short; Upcoming Dinner Break

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Sergio Aido limped from the hijack and Hossein Ensan three-bet the button to 205,000. Aido moved all in for 1.405 million and Ensan folded after asking for a count.

Aido opened to 120,000 and Roman Emelyanov defended the big blind. On a flop of {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Emelyanov checked and folded to a bet worth 125,000.

Ensan opened to 125,000 and received two callers in Emelyanov on the button and Aido in the big blind. The flop fell {J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Ensan's bet of 175,000 won the pot.

Right after, tournament staff spoke with the remaining finalists with regards to the next break and everyone agreed on a 30-minute dinner break at the end of this level.

Sun At 10 Big Blinds

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

It appears the table is waiting on Liwei Sun to get his final chips in, as there haven't been any big pots in the new level. The Italian shoved twice and picked up the blinds and antes. The second time he showed {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} to get to 600,000.

Heath Edges Into the Lead

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

In a three-way limped pot to the {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, Danny Tang and Ben Heath checked out of the blinds and Sergio Aido bet 50,000. Tang called in the small blind while Heath check-raised to 265,000 and Aido was the only caller.

The {J-Clubs} turn was checked through and a bet of 285,000 by Heath on the {Q-Spades} river forced a fold from Aido.

Aido limped in and Tang raised to 215,000 on the button to scoop the pot without resistance.

Heath made it 100,000 on the button and Roman Emelyanov called from the small blind, Orpen Kisacikoglu came along from the big blind. On the {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, action checked to Heath and his continuation bet of 145,000 shut down all further action.

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 100,000 on the button but folded to a 660,000 shove from Sergio Aido. In the next hand Aido shoved 850,000 on the button and Hossein Ensan tank-called in the big blind.

Sergio Aido: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Hossein Ensan: {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Aido hit his jack to double up.

Ensan Builds Stack Further

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hossein Ensan raised to 125,000 in the cutoff and folded to a big shove by Ben Heath in the big blind, flashing the {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Ensan scooped the blinds and antes the next hand before Danny Tang opened to 100,000 from early position. Roman Emelyanov called in the cutoff and both players checked down the board of {A-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. Tang showed {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Emelyanov mucked {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Orpen Kisacikoglu made it 100,000 to go from the cutoff and Ensan defended the big blind. On a flop of {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Ensan checked an called a bet worth 175,000. Both ended up checking the {7-Clubs} turn and {4-Spades} river to see Ensan turn over {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

"If I bet, you call?" Ensan asked and Kisacikoglu nodded before replying with a "I probably snap."

Heath raised from under the gun and Emelyanov called from one seat over, as did Tang in the big blind. The flop of {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} brought no betting action and Tang made it 145,000 on the {Q-Clubs} turn. Only Emelyanov called but folded when Tang fired the {2-Spades} river for 315,000.

Preben Stokkan Eliminated in 8th Place (63,000)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Hossein Ensan & Preben Stokkan
Hossein Ensan & Preben Stokkan

On a {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} board, Hossein Ensan bet 75,000 in the cutoff and Preben Stokkan called on the button after the flop went check/check. The river brought the {9-Diamonds} and Ensan bet 270,000. Stokkan moved in for 945,000 and Ensan called with lightning speed.

Preben Stokkan: {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Hossein Ensan: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

All players stared in bewilderment to what just transpired in front of their eyes. All, except for Ensan, who instantly grabbed Stokkan's arm, raised it, then high-fived it. The gesture wasn't ill-intended by Ensan. Stokkan, however, was still processing the incredible one-outer that just ended his tournament life and wasn't really about to cheer along with Ensan.

"Nines kill you, all the time," Ensan said with a smile afterwards. The German from Iranian descent had Stokkan covered and the Norwegian, who finished 2nd in the first 10,300 High Roller earlier this week, now became 8th for 63,000.

Emelyanov Jams Into Tang

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Danny Tang made it 100,000 to go from the button and Roman Emelyanov called in the big blind. On a flop of {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, the Russian checked and Tang continued for 120,000. Emelyanov check-shoved for 1.44 million within less than a second and Tang sighed before letting go.

Hossein Ensan limped in and Emelyanov filled up from the small blind. Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 275,000 and both opponents folded. Ensan added "I folded ace-queen" to which Kisacikoglu replied "wow." Ensan continued with a "out of position, and you raised so much" before opening the next hand to 125,000 with the words "Now I am tilt." Nobody bought that story, though, and Ensan scooped the blinds and antes.
