Seidel Doubles Through Mateos

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Erik Seidel moved all in for his last 410,000 from the button and Adrian Mateos min-raised to 720,000, forcing a fold from Daniel Dvoress in the big blind.

Erik Seidel: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

"This is the first real hand in the tournament," Seidel added and saw the board run out {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{4-Spades} to double up to nine big blinds. The gap between Mateos and Dvoress at the top of the counts was reduced to a mere five big blinds.

Holz Doubles Through Seidel

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded to Fedor Holz in the small blind and he pushed for 1.4 million total. Erik Seidel called instantly from the big blind.

Fedor Holz: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Erik Seidel: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

"Oh no!" Seidel said, "That's hardly fair."

The board ran out {7-Spades}{J-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Holz doubled.

Fedor Holz chipped up to around 1.5M while Erik Seidel defended his big blind once against Daniel Dvoress and then folded on a {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop. Down to just under 1.1M, Seidel open-shoved the very next hand from the small blind and fellow short stack Nick Petrangelo called all in from the big blind after having double-checked his cards.

Nick Petrangelo: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Erik Seidel: {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and the ace on the river improved Seidel. Both stacks were counted and Seidel had 1,095,000, while Petrangelo was covered with 1,080,000 to join the rail in 5th place for 248,400. This means that all remaining four players are now at least 319,800 richer.

Holz Shoves Twice

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Only one hand went to the river and there was no showdown. Fedor Holz then raised a raise to 175,000 by Adrian Mateos and moved all in for 855,000 on the button. Mateos sighed and let go.

Holz also raised for most of his stack soon after to claim the blinds and antes before receiving a walk in the big blind.

Daniel Dvoress open-shoved the next button and Holz in the small blind as well as Erik Seidel in the big blind both released their cards,

Steve O'Dwyer

The new level started with a raise to 175,000 by Adrian Mateos and a call by Fedor Holz in the big blind. Holz quickly check-folded the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop to a continuation bet before Daniel Dvoress claimed the blinds and antes the next hand with a raise to 185,000 on the button.

Then, Mateos opened to 175,000 again and Steve O'Dwyer in the small blind asked for the stack size of Erik Seidel in the big blind before moving all in for around 1,350,000. Seidel folded and Mateos snap-called.

Adrian Mateos: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Steve O'Dwyer: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

After a board of {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, O'Dwyer failed to pick up sufficient help and had to settle for 6th place and a payday of 192,400, while all remaining finalists now have 248,400 guaranteed for their efforts.

Mike Watson Eliminated in 8th Place

After several all ins without showdowns, Erik Seidel was down to 785,000 on the button and moved all in. Mike Watson checked for the stack of Nick Petrangelo in the big blind, who had 1.2M, and also moved all in with a very similar stack in the small blind. Petrangelo folded and the cards were turned over.

Mike Watson: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Erik Seidel: {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

"That's not good for me," Seidel said when the cards were revealed, but he got there thanks to a board of {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. The stacks were counted and Watson had 765,000, just two antes less than Seidel, to join the rail in 8th place. Watson receives 118,000 for his efforts, while all remaining seven players have 152,140 locked up.
