The GGPoker World Series of Poker Online Super Circuit Starts with COVID Charity!

With the new reality in full swing, the World Series of Poker moved the Circuit online with 18 Ring Events through the end of May on GG Poker, and the first event is for charity. Event #1: COVID Charity 1M Gtd gets underway at 2pm Eastern and $111 out of the $1,111 entry fee will be donated to the Nevada Community Foundation.

The COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund is designed to assist communities and organizations across Nevada as they deal with the repercussions from the Covid-19 outbreak. Priorities for the fund include grants intended to aid first responders and healthcare workers with much needed supplies, as well as assistance to the State of Nevada and its political subdivisions in responding to COVID-19.

There's also a cool $1 million guaranteed for the total prize pool, so there's still plenty of money to be won at the tables. Quite a few big names are already in the running for a piece of the prizes, including ElkY, Felipe Ramos, Michiel Easterdamnz Van Elsacker, Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Mikhail Semin.

Players in Event #1 will start with 10,000 chips, and play 12 minute levels and play down to a winner in this single day event. Late registration is available for four hours and 20 minutes, and re-entries will be available through that period as well.
