J.J. Liu Takes Two Hands In a Row

J.J. Liu raised to 525 and a player in middle position popped it to 1525. The big blind moved in for 10K more and the other two players called. Liu held AK, the middle position raiser held A-Q and the big blind held Pocket Jacks. It looked as if the Jacks would hold up...until Liu spiked a King on the river to give her the 5,000 pot.

The next hand she raised to 600 under the gun and Jeff Madsen moved all in for 1,600 total. Another player called, as did Liu, and the saw a flop of {3-Hearts}

. Liu pushed, the other player folded and this time it was Liu who held pocket Jacks. Madsen had A-Q, didn't catch on the turn or river, and was eliminated. Liu now has 8,300.
