Jean-Robert Bellande
Jean-Robert Bellande

Jean-Robert Bellande opened with a raise to 24,000 from the cutoff seat and got one caller in Robert Lipkin in the small blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn then brought the {10-Spades} and action.

Lipkin led with a bet of 36,000, then Bellande made it 136,000 to go. Lipkin waited a short while, then declared he was all in for his last 250,000 or so. Bellande quickly called.

Lipkin: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Bellande: {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}

Both players had king-high straights, but Bellande was freerolling with his flush draw. The dealer burned a card and dealt the river -- the {8-Spades}! The crowd here at the main feature table reacted audibly with a roar in response to the sight of Bellande's flush, and the two players shook hands before Lipkin left the stage.

Bellande bounces back up to 1.302 million.
