Feature Table: Mortensen Calls a Three-Bet; Shoves the Turn

Level 33 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante

Hand #185: Michiel Brummelhuis raised to 500,000 on the button, Carlos Mortensen called in the small blind, and David "Raptor" Benefield defended his big blind. The dealer fanned {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, the trio checked, and the turn brought the {7-Spades}. Mortensen led out for 500,000, Benefield called, and Brummelhuis folded. The {9-Hearts} completed the board, the two checked, Mortensen showed {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens, but it was no good against Benefield's {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of queens.

Hand #186: Mortensen raised to 500,000 on the button, Sylvain Loosli three-bet to 1.25 million from the big blind, and Mortensen called. The flop fell {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{j-Spades}, Loosli led out for 1.2 million, and Mortensen tank-called.

Loosli checked when the {6-Clubs} turned, Mortensen moved all in for 4.76 million, and Loosli folded.
