Loeser Loses the Race

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Shawn Busse opened for 2,200 only to have Manig Loeser three-bet all in from the cutoff for roughly 15,000. Action folded back to Busse and he thought for awhile before dropping in the call.

Busse: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Loeser: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

It was a flip, and according to the PokerNews Odds Calculator Loeser was a slight 53.27% favorite while Busse would win 46.28% of the time.

The {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop was safe enough for Loeser, and he became a 3-1 favorite. However, that was reversed when the dealer burned and turned the {8-Diamonds} to pair Busse. Loeser needed either a six or diamond on the river something that would come 25% of the time but it wasn't in the cards as the {Q-Spades} blanked.

Busse was pushed the pot while Loeser collected his things and exited the Amazon Room.
