On Monday night, the 2020 World Series of Poker Online Event #7: $800 No-Limit Hold'em Knockout Deepstack attracted 989 players, which resulted in a $731,660 prize pool. After nearly 12 hours of play, it was Joon jykpoker Kim coming out on top to win a $103,127 top prize, $3,000 in bounties, and his first gold bracelet.

Prior to the win, Kim had 11 WSOP-related cashes totaling a modest $19,113. Five of those cashes have come in WSOP.com events, including an 87th-place finish two days prior in the $1,000 NLH Freezeout event.

8Jonathan fan_sawyer21 Love$9,560$1,200
9Josephthehofffx Hoffman$7,316$1,400

After Sean "PetyrBaelish" Hegarty busted on the bubble in 144th place, the in-the-money finishers included Nipun javanti Java (103rd - $961.30), Brian JackBogle Altman (86th - $1,121.52), Matt RubberFist Stout (80th - $1,228.33), Jared DarrensRabbi Jaffee (56th - $1,495.36), Ryan bitc0in Riess (33rd - $2,403.27), and Layne scoop87 Flack (13th - $4,486.10).

Poker commentator and PokerNews Podcast co-host Jeff mavsusc Platt began the final table with the chip lead, but it proved to be a contentious affair with multiple players pulling out in front. Joseph thehofffx Hoffman was the first to fall after losing a flip with Big Slick to the pocket jacks of Lee smallmytable Gale and then Jonathan fan_sawyer21 Love followed after suffering a bad beat with ace-ten against Eric CircleBall Baldwins ten-nine when a nine spiked on the turn.

At that point the stacks had evened out a bit and Platt saw his run, which he was streaming in Twitch, come to an end in a blind-versus-blind hand against Kim, who shoved the small blind with queen-jack. Platt called off getting it in good with king-deuce suited, but he wasnt rewarded for it as a queen spiked on the flop.

Kim then eliminated Gale in sixth place when his ace-nine held against king-jack, and then Ian APokerJoker2 Steinman took his leave failing to get there with ace-jack against the pocket kings of Stephen bunsamillion McManus.

With four players remaining, two-time WSOP bracelet winner Baldwins Big Slick held against Jason Gunner_Q10 Gunns ten-jack suited to dispatch the latter, but Baldwin soon followed him out the door after running sevens into Kims aces in a big pot.

Kim began heads-up play with a nearly 5:1 chip lead over McManus, and it didnt take long for him to close the deal when his king-nine flopped top pair against queen-seven all in preflop.

The next tournament on the schedule C Event #8: $500 NLH FreezeoutC will take place at 3 p.m. PDT on Wednesday. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will once again be reporting all the action, so be sure to tune in then to see who captures the next 2020 WSOP bracelet!

Stephen "bunsamillion" McManus Eliminated in 2nd Place ($63,766.76)

Level 44 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Joon "jykpoker" Kim jammed on the button, and "bunsamillion" called off his last 2,803,552 in the big blind.

"bunsamillion": {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Joon "jykpoker" Kim: {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Kim took a huge lead on the {2-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, leaving "bunsamillion" looking for running cards to survive. The {2-Diamonds} turn left "bunsamillion" drawing dead to the {a-Hearts} river, and Kim claimed the final $200 bounty of the tournament, while "bunsamillion", who spent much of the final table nursing a short stack, settles for a runner-up performance and a $63,766.76 payday.

Joon "jykpoker" Kim raised the button to 640,000 and Eric "circleball" Baldwin responded by three-betting all in for 10,394,644 from the small blind. Kim snap-called and Baldwin discovered the bad news.

Joon "jykpoker" Kim: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
