Barnett Takes Back From Behrens

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Action was on the flop as it read {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Jack Behrens bet 125,000. James Barnett raised all in for about 800,000 more. Behrens called.

Behrens had the draw with the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, while Barnett had the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and the river came the {6-Hearts} to give Barnett the big double.

Behrens Flops Quads in Monster Pot vs. Barnett

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jack Behrens
Jack Behrens

Jack Behrens opened from under the gun to 250,000 and called after James Barnett three-bet to 600,000 from the button.

Both players checked the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop. Behrens led out for 250,000 on the {q-Clubs} turn and Barnett raised to 700,000.

Behrens made the call to see the river fall {j-Spades}. Behrens bet 500,000, leaving himself just 600,000 behind, and Barnett went into the tank for several minutes, cutting out the chips to call before deciding to lay his hand down.

Behrens showed {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} for flopped quads and moved up to 2,400,000. Barnett, who had a commanding chip lead a short time ago, fell down to 1,500,000.

Bryan Garrett Eliminated in 5th Place ($8,294)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Bryan Garrett
Bryan Garrett

Bryan Garret raised to 160,000 preflop. James Barnett three-bet to 500,000. Garret called and turned over his cards thinking he had been forced all in. After a brief discussion and agreement that it was a misunderstanding, in a show of good faith, Barnett also turned over his cards and called what was needed to cover the rest of Garret's stack.

Garret had the {q-Spades}{j-Spades} and would need to come from behind against the {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

The board would not help him though as it ran out the {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Garret was gone in fifth place.

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

James Barnett and Danny Chang were involved in a blind versus blind battle on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Barnett checked and Chang bet 100,000.

Chang quickly folded and fell to 1,150,000. Barnett is now up to 3,800,000.

Chris Minton

Leo Abbe raised to 225,000 from early position. Chris Minton moved all in from the button.

"I don't like it but I call" said Abbe and turned over the {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, which was dominated by the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Minton.

But there was a ten in the window as the flop came the {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the rver came the {j-Diamonds}.

The chip stacks were very close and it was counted out to confirm that Minton was covered and gone in seventh place.
