Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Ramiro Petrone
Ramiro Petrone

Timothy Sullivan opened to 250,000 from under the gun and was called by Anton Wigg from the cutoff. Ramiro Petrone jammed for 550,000 from the small blind and both active players called.

The {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop checked throough to the {9-Diamonds} turn. Sullivan bet 600,000 and Wigg mucked.

Ramiro Petrone: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Timothy Sullivan: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Petrone was in bad shape with one card to come but the at risk player had managed to escape elimination several times already. The {7-Spades} river completed the board and the Argentinian was felted.

Petrone Left With Crumbs, Then Doubles

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Ramiro Petrone raised to 250,000 from under the gun before Timothy Sullivan three-bet to 525,000 from the cutoff. Petrone then moved all in and Sullivan called for his last 3,120,000.

Timothy Sullivan: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Ramiro Petrone: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {a-Diamonds} appeared in the window to pair Petrone, but it was followed by the {10-Spades}{j-Diamonds} to give Sullivan the nut straight and a royal flush draw. The board ran out {7-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Sullivan doubled up.

Left with less than 300,000, Petrone was all in from the big blind next hand and up against Anton Wigg. He showed {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Wigg {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Petrone doubled up with his pair of sixes.

Bruschi Doubles; Hellmuth Unhappy

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth opened to 250,000 from the cutoff and then called the 1,800,000 jam from Renan Bruschi the big blind.

Renan Bruschi: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Phil Hellmuth: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Two aces appeared on the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and Hellmuth immediately stood up from the table. Bruschi secured a full double up following the {3-Spades} turn and {3-Clubs} river.

"They got in bad everytime, don't they know I'm Phil Hellmuth," said Hellmuth. He returned to his seat while continuing to reel off classic Hellmuth-isms.

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Keiji Ito raised to 300,000 from early position and received calls from David Jackson on the button and Richard Scardina in the big blind.

All three players checked the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop before Scardina led out for 220,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn. Ito got out of the way, but Jackson tossed in a call.

The river came the {8-Diamonds} and Scardina bet again, this time for around 500,000. Jackson tossed in a chip to signify a call as Scardina opened up {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a pair of tens.

Phil Hellmuth opened to 250,000 from the button and was called by Neel Joshi in the small blind.

Joshi check-called a bet of 250,000 on the {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop before the {a-Clubs} turn checked through.

Tamer Alkamli

Tamer Alkamli jammed for 630,000 from the cutoff. Ramiro Petrone, who had found another double-up since his last reported one, called in the small blind. Keiji Ito also called in the big blind.

Petrone moved all in for 1,300,000 on the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop. Ito went deep into the tank for several minutes before deciding to call.

Tamer Alkamli: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Ramiro Petrone: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Keiji Ito: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Petrone flopped best, pairing his ten, and was looking to seal an elimination and a double up. Petrone did just that as the {7-Spades}{9-Hearts} runout kept things as they were.
