Laake Sizes Up, Takes Pot Down in Back-to-Back Hands

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

In the first hand, Michael Laake opened to 1,500 and the button called. The small blind three-bet to 7,000 and Laake four-bet to 19,000. The small blind folded and Laake showed {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

The next hand, Laake opened to 1,300 and a player in late position three-bet to 3,500. The hijack cold-called and Laake called as well.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and the late-position player continued for 6,000. The hijack folded and Laake boosted it up to 16,000. The late-position player folded and Laake's aggression paid off once again.
