May 31 was the final day of new events for the 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker and it was another superb day of poker tournament action. PokerNews reported on a trio of events that progressed to Day 2, while a plethora of players from around the world became SCOOP champions on the 32nd and penultimate day of this $135 million guaranteed series.

Steve ��Mr. Tim Caum�� O��Dwyer is the man to catch going into the final day of the SCOOP-120-H $2,100 NLHE [Sunday Warm-Up SE], $500K Gtd.

Some 418 players sat down at the start of the tournament and only 28 of them remain in the hunt for the $150,547 top prize. O��Dwyer has a chip lead of more than one-million chips over second-placed ��m.a-0000�� but an O��Dwyer victory is far from a done deal because some of the game��s elite grinders are among the final 28 players.

Look out for players including Yuri ��theNERDguy�� Martins, Adrian ��Amadi_07�� Mateos, Benjamin ��bencb789�� Rolle, and Joao ��Naza114�� Vieira when play resumes. Cowen bagged an impressive 6,605,708 chips at the end of the first day��s play and now has almost 1.5 million chips more than his nearest rival, ��DemonOfDawn�� from Brazil.

There are still 502 players in the field after a monster-sized 30,809 entrants bought in for $109. The Brazilian is in pole position for the $153,478 top prize, plus the bounties they pick up along the way, but there are some superstars of poker among the returning players.
