Zhang and Ferreira Battle in the Blinds

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded around to Micheal Chi Zhang in the small blind, and he completed before Jean Ferreira checked in the big blind. Both players checked on the {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop and when the came the {k-Clubs} Zhang check-called a 1,500 bet from Ferreira.

The river was the {2-Diamonds}, and Ferreira bet 6,000 after Zhang had checked. The latter thought for 10 seconds before he made the call and mucked when Ferreira revealed {k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for two pair.

Despite losing this small pot its been a good start for Zhang who is up to 155,000.

Davies Eliminates Thorel Who Reenters

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Jean-Noel Thorel had seen his stack reduced to around the 20,000 chip mark in the first level and got all his chips into the middle against Seth Davies preflop.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Seth Davies: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Board: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Davies hit a pair on the flop to take the lead and secured the pot when he hit the nut flush on the turn. Davies even had a draw to the royal flush but didn't receive it.

Thorel departed from the table and used his single re-entry option.
